Vivira Health
Shaping At-Home Therapeutic Training
INTRO
As Vivira’s sole Product Designer in its early stage, I defined the app’s end-to-end experience — from user insights to visual language.
Working closely with patients, doctors, therapists and developers, I designed a training experience that felt personal, encouraging, and grounded in real therapeutic value.

RESEARCH
Research was central to how the product evolved. I periodically conducted user surveys and usability tests to identify friction points and validate design decisions early.
Through continuous, incremental improvements, we refined the product experience and co-created with doctors and patients.
STRUGGLES
Operating within Germany’s highly regulated medical landscape required constant audits, compliance checks, and adaptation to technical constraints. Despite these limits, keeping the user experience at the center remained non-negotiable.
Collaboration with the Patient Success team ensured design decisions reflected real patient needs. A good example was the countdown feature, created to guide users more intuitively through their exercises.
IMPACT
My experience at Vivira showed how small, thoughtful design can truly have an impact on real health and drive recovery.
All design efforts consequently increased adherence and engagement for the app and the service as a whole.
